Do you need a challenge to get you moving out of lockdown?
There is no doubt it has been a challenging few months for us all. Maybe you discovered new ways to keep fit or maybe your fitness routine lapsed? Chailey Heritage Foundation have four fab virtual challenges for you to choose from to get you moving and support children with disabilities at the same time.
Based near Newick, Chailey Heritage Foundation is a pioneering charity supporting a very special group of children and young people who have complex physical disabilities and health needs. Through our Special School, Residential Care, Life Skills Centre and Hub, we support young people through their school life and as they transition into adulthood.
These young people face many challenges, but with the right support, they can all make incredible achievements. Your support could help us provide the very best specialist equipment and facilities to help them learn, develop new skills, and enjoy new experiences. The impact of the Foundation’s services comes not just in how many children and young people use our services but in the difference we make to their lives and that of their families.
Whether you would like to run, walk, cycle or climb we have a virtual challenge to suit you! You choose the location and when to do it.
Gotham – running 5k can be a huge challenge especially if you are new to running. Can you run like a superhero? Will the Batman medal inspire you to put on your running shoes? £13 to register and we ask you to raise £50 in sponsorship.
Big Charity Run, Walk or Cycle – a longer challenge, choose from 30, 50 or 100 miles, run, walk, cycle or mix it up and do a bit of them all. Complete your distance over a month, upload your evidence and wait for your medal! £13 to register and we ask you to raise £50 in sponsorship.
The Everest Challenge – fancy something a bit different? Can you climb the equivalent of Mount Everest in 12 weeks? In this challenge, you can go out to the hills on your daily exercise or simply tackle the stairs a couple of times every day. Achieve 8,848m of elevation gain in 12 weeks and you will have earned your medal. £13 to register and we ask you to raise £50 in sponsorship.
MyRide - Get on your bike (or scooter, skateboard, trike, tandem, unicycle, roller skates) chose your distance and go! Set up by Prudential Ride London to support charities during the Corvid-19 pandemic, registration is free, and we ask you to raise what you can.
